The Graduate College has strategic oversight for postgraduate research and postgraduate taught students at Canterbury Christ Church University. The key strategic objectives of the Graduate College are to promote excellence at postgraduate level, developing our offer to keep pace with demand for both academic and practice-based postgraduate courses and to provide an excellent postgraduate student experience.

Join the friendly and efficient Graduate College Team in a role that provides an opportunity to work with colleagues across the University, supporting postgraduate research students in a close-knit team dedicated to providing excellent service and contributing to improving student experience.

As one of two Postgraduate Research Student Administration Officers, you will play a key role in supporting postgraduate research students in the administration of their annual reviews, ongoing progression and examination at CCCU.

You will have experience of providing excellent customer service, handling enquiries and organising meetings or events. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as experience of Microsoft Office and the ability to interact with staff and students from a range of backgrounds are essential requirements. Experience of higher education and working with international students would be advantageous, but full training will be provided.

How will you work?

Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the service being delivered and to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that the majority of your working time will be spent on campus.

Supporting both students and staff, this role will be required on campus for 3 days each week with days working from home introduced after a period of induction. Days on campus will be largely fixed, but may be required to change to provide support of examinations and Graduate College events.
