We are looking for an inspiring and enthusiastic Teacher of Singing to deliver individual lessons to pupils across all age groups in the Preparatory and Senior Schools. Our music department is a friendly, busy environment in which students thrive, last year one of our pupils was successful in winning a full scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music and we have pupils in the National Youth Training Choir and Kent County Ensembles. In 2023, one of our ‘cellists won the Medway Rotary Young Musician competition.

The choral tradition at King’s remains one of the pillars of the school: the Cathedral Choristers have been educated at King’s for centuries and the School has had a close association with the Cathedral since its founding in 604AD. At present, there are one and a half days of singing tuition on offer (16 pupils), with the potential to develop more pupils over time. There may also be opportunities for the successful candidate to work with choirs at King’s.
