The Procurement Manager will be responsible for optimising costs to maximise profit through effective buying and supplier management.

The successful candidate will be a driven, self-motivated, and highly focused with demonstrable hands-on experience of leading a team, demand planning, managing change, process improvement and achieving organisational profitability.

Duties include:

* Negotiating and communicating with national and international suppliers in order to purchase materials and components at the best quality, prices and terms.
* Resolving any supplier issues creatively and effectively.
* Complete audits on existing suppliers ensuring consistent performance as well as assessing any new suppliers for suitability
* Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
* Work closely with internal teams to understand the demand and work out a bigger plan to find solutions to any problematic materials/ components with a cost saving approach.
* Using and maintaining in house SAP and WMS IT systems accurately.
* Monitoring market trends and prices in order to analyse market conditions and inform procurement.
* Setting, monitoring, and evaluating KPIs and SLAs.
* Day to day operational management of the Parts Warehouse, via the Team Leader, including resource management.
* Liaise internally with other departments and externally with suppliers to gather information and data to enable robust procurement decisions to be made.
* Plan resource availability to ensure the department can meet all of its objectives including holiday planning, work and overtime planning
* Actively meet national and international clients when required, all expenses covered.

The successful candidate will have/ be:

* Procurement Management experience
* A technical background and/or the ability to understand technical drawings
* ISO 9001 Accreditation and experience using SAP - Essential
* Familiar with sourcing and negotiation processes
* First class interpersonal skills with a real passion for building effective professional relationships
* Excellent knowledge of current purchasing and procurement regulations are necessary
* The ability to collate and analyse data
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Analytical, with a high level of attention to detail
* Confident in managing multiple priorities and a demanding workload
