HR Assistant

Swale Heating are one of the biggest and most recognised heating specialists in Kent. We have been in operation for over 45 years, meeting the heating needs of the South East of England. We are trusted by our customers to keep them safe and warm, every day of the year.

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team as a HR Assistant based in our Sittingbourne head office, with some remote working. The role will be administratively focused, with scope to branch out into operational aspects of HR as well.

Purpose of the role:

The post holder will provide a full range of HR administration services to the HR department and other internal departments of the business.

Skills & Experience Required:

CIPD or similar qualification (essential)
2- 3 years relevant experience in a similar role (essential)
1-2 years’ experience in online recruitment
Demonstrable interpersonal and relationship-building skills (essential)
Proven administrative ability, accuracy and attention to detail (essential)
Experience of using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly, Word, Excel and Outlook (essential)
Experience of using HRIS systems such as Cascade/SAP/ Access, Workday or similar preferable)

Key Tasks:

Recruitment administration i.e. advertising, CV screening, arranging interviews
DBS and other employment checks
Prepare and administer employee starter/leavers documentation
Conduct new starter HR Induction
Maintain all HR records and filing systems
Minute taking for ER meetings
Assist with departmental administration audits
General administration required by the department
Managing HR Inbox – dealing with general queries and escalating as necessary

Customer focus (internal stakeholders)
Seeks ways to contribute to team success
Effectively manages workload including time management

Location & Travel:

This role will be a mix of remote and office working.

Hours of work:

Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm / 9:00am to 5:30pm (varied depending on rota)
