About the role:
Join the Research, Enterprise & Knowledge Mobilisation (REKM) Delivery & University Research Centre (URC) Hub team and provide high quality administrative and delivery support across a diverse portfolio of research, enterprise and knowledge mobilisation activity.
The REKM Administrator role sits within Research, Enterprise & Innovation Services (REIS), supporting the delivery of activity and projects across the University’s research, enterprise and knowledge mobilisation ecosystem. Working with academics, professional services colleagues, and postgraduate research students, as well as external partners and stakeholders, you will help ensure that projects, activities, governance and operational processes are supported effectively and efficiently.
What you will be doing:
The role provides varied administrative support across REKM activity. Responsibilities include coordinating and collating information, reports and data; supporting finance and transaction monitoring; maintaining digital and online systems; and providing committee and meeting support, including agenda management and minute taking.
Who are we looking for:
To be successful in this role, you will be an organised, proactive and adaptable administrator who is comfortable working across different teams and priorities. You will have experience of providing administrative support to projects, activities and teams, and of liaising professionally with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent IT and digital skills, and the ability to use systems effectively to organise records and processes. You will work confidently both independently and as part of a team, managing your workload effectively, identifying and resolving issues where appropriate, and knowing when to escalate, while handling confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
You will be qualified to A level or equivalent, or have relevant experience, and will be an experienced user of Microsoft Office, including Excel. Experience or knowledge of digital content administration, such as websites, social media or other online systems, is also required. Experience of higher education or REKM practice, formal committee administration, finance and administrative systems, digital content administration and analytical work would be advantageous.
How will you work?
We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is Flexible and connected (Professional Services). Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that there will be a relatively even balance between time spent on and off campus; but in most cases the work location will be determined by the service required or the tasks/activities being undertaken.
