Position;
Order entry & Despatch clerk

Well established transport company specialising in the overnight national distribution of fresh produce to wholesale fruit and vegetable markets looking to recruit additional administrative support for our busy operation.

Shift pattern; Monday – Friday + Alternate Sundays
Hours; Mon – Fri 12:00 – Finish (20:30 – 23:00hrs), Sunday 11:00 - finish (19:00 – 22:30hrs)
Holiday cover; Some cover required during holiday periods with earlier starts

Job Type; Permanent

Location; Marden, Kent

Reporting to the Admin supervisor your duties will include (but not limited to);

Order entry (Customer transport orders - keying into transport system)
Manifest creation/printing
Updating orders for various system allocations
Printing delivery notes
Checking customer paperwork against orders in system & updating system where required
Ensuring drivers have relevant paperwork
Liason with warehouse operatives ref orders changes / amendments and updating system
Dealing with telephone enquires
Collating, checking & Issuing delivery notes
General transport related administration

You will need;

To be flexible with regard to finish times due to the nature of the business
Ideally to be conversant with order entry
To have good attention to detail
To able to work as part of a team in a busy fast paced environment
To be an effective communicator
