Our client based in Wickford, Essex is looking for a Warehouse Goods In/ Goods Out Operative to join their growing team on a temporary basis, with the possibility of going permanent for the right candidate.

The hours of work for this role are 8am-5pm, Monday- Friday

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

* Locating, picking and packing stock
* Palletising and labelling goods ready for dispatch
* Handballing (loading/ unloading goods)
* checking receipt of deliveries against all relevant paperwork
* Stock replenishment
* Identifying and reporting incorrect deliveries and damages
* Other ad-hoc warehouse duties/ potentially helping out in other departments within the warehouse
* Warehouse maintenance (ensuring the warehouse is clean and tidy)
* Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures

Knowledge and skills required for this role:

* Forklift license is advantageous but not essential
* Full driving license is advantageous but not essential
* Ability to use a pump truck
* Good attention to detail
* Good communication skills
* Ability to prioritise workload
* Knowledge of health and safety warehouse procedures
* Good work ethic, with a solid work history
* Good communication skills
* To be punctual with good time management skills
