Management Accountant | Medway | £40k
Our client, an established, growing and fast paced business is seeking to appoint a driven Management Accountant to their busy finance team of 10 people, based full time in their Gillingham office.
The business started in 2009 and as of 2019 it has been a private equity backed business with more acquisitions planned.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly management accountants to group deadlines.
• Completion of variance analysis and commentary versus budget for overheads.
• Assist the FC with commentary to support the financial result.
• Prepare the quarterly VAT returns for Senseco & FSHL.
• Supporting the external Audit process, fulfilling auditor queries.
• Identifying areas for development within financial reporting across the business.
• Support and contribute to improvements within the department.
• Balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
• Responsible for the maintenance of the chart of accounts, including ensuring a consistent approach to new nominal codes.
• Provide accurate, timely and relevant information to support business information needs as required.
• Ad hoc duties when required.
Skill Requirements:
• Qualified or newly qualified accountant.
• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with Sage.
• Multi-site or service industry background.
• Ability to work with high volumes of data.
• Organisational and time management to meet deadlines.
