The Digital, Design, and Content team at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) plays a pivotal role in shaping and communicating the University’s brand, supporting its 2030 vision through innovative and strategic creative campaigns. As CCCU develops its new brand, the team is at the forefront of brand implementation, developing resources and frameworks to ensure consistency and high-quality output across all channels. This team plays an essential role in enhancing the student journey, stakeholder engagement, and alumni relations.

Join our innovative Digital, Design, and Content team as a Digital Designer, where you'll play a key role in creating engaging digital experiences that support CCCU’s ambitious 2030 vision.

About the Role

As a Digital Designer at CCCU, you will play a central role in shaping the University’s digital presence across multiple channels, including canterbury.ac.uk, CRM communications, digital advertising, and social media, as well as supporting our offline channels. You’ll design accessible, user-friendly solutions that allow our target audiences to interact with the university at their convenience, creating high-quality digital and print assets that align with the university’s brand and vision.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in visual identity, delivering seamless user experiences across our digital platforms. Your work will be informed by data and user research, ensuring a strategic approach to digital design and an ongoing commitment to innovation.

Your creativity, attention to detail, and passion for digital innovation will be essential as you develop user-centric designs that enhance CCCU’s online presence. You’ll apply your expertise in design tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Figma to deliver visually compelling, accessible assets. A commitment to continuous learning, and a dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion are key qualities that will drive your success in this role.

How will you work?

We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible. Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that there will be a relatively even balance between time spent on and off campus, but in most cases the work location will be determined by the service required or the tasks/activities being undertaken.
