We have a rare opportunity for an experienced R&D Test technician to join a global manufacturing company at their UK site in Margate.

Within you role you will conduct tests and inspections to evaluate the quality and performance of products and equipment. You will need to have previously worked in product or material testing and wanting to work in a hands-on engineering role.

Duties:

* Set up tests in compliance with relevant standards and customer protocols
* Efficiently and safely operate tests, following all in-house standards and adhering to H&S
* Analyse and record test results using appropriate software
* Prepare test reports following relevant standards

Experience and skills:

* Several years experience in an engineering work environment, specifically in mechanical testing
* Ability to interpret quality standards, engineering diagrams and product specifications.
* Excellent attention to detail
* Manage your own time and work while also being hands-on and meeting deadlines
* Confident user of MS Word & Excel
* Experience of SAP and Cad would be an advantage along with experience of working with lathes and mills

This is a full time Monday to Friday, which is being offered on a temporary basis initially with a view to becoming a permanent contract for the right person.
