Exciting Opportunity: Statutory Accountant

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our client`s finance team as a Statutory Accounts Specialist. This pivotal role reports to the Head of Statutory Accounts and plays a critical part in preparing subsidiary accounts, supporting the Group Annual Report, and Financial Statements production.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the preparation of subsidiary accounts and assist in the Group`s annual reporting.
- Maintain accounts production systems and monitor subsidiary companies` audit processes.
- Engage in audit planning, timetabling, and stakeholder discussions under the guidance of the Head of Statutory Accounts.
- Resolve audit queries, ensuring statutory accounts and ledgers are reconciled accurately.
- Quarterly reconciliation of key balance sheet areas and involvement in financial statement preparations for various entities.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Degree in a relevant field or equivalent education.
- Proficiency in IFRS and UK GAAP; intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA certification with experience in statutory accounts production and audit management.

- Proactive, adaptable, and capable of working under pressure.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and integrity in handling complex issues.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
