Our client is an independent, global insurance broker authorised to transact business in the Lloyds' market. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will be joining a vibrant, international business with offices across the world and a passionate, client services driven workforce.



Accountant



Role overview

* Review, approve and release of day to day banking entries as prepared by the Accounting team.
* Assist with accounting aspects of the Exchequer, Acturis and IBS systems, including the review and scrutiny of postings, system control checks, reconciliations, closings and maintenance
* Review of NST bank account reconciliations
* Assist with preparation of monthly brokerage and reporting schedules.
* Assist with preparation of financial management information including variance analysis in a timely manner.
* Assist with preparation of management accounts, brokerage reports and associated board reporting
* Assist with preparation for the annual statutory and CASS audits for the group and assist the on-site audit team
* Other ad hoc tasks and reporting



Skills and attributes

* Part or Qualified Accountant; ACA, ACCA, CIMA
* Experience working within the insurance sector is desirable, but not essential
* Strong analysis skills
* Able to achieve critical deadlines
* Work with a collaborative ethos
* Comfortable with IT systems and Excel spreadsheets

What you need to know

* Initial 4-month contract with potential to extend
* Salary to £55,000 pro rata per annum
* Hybrid working flexibility - City of London office & home
