Your new company
To deliver an effective Housing Management and Income Recovery Service for residents living in our older persons and supported housing accommodation, ensuring a high standard of service whilst making sure our residents are adhering to the terms of their accommodation agreements.

Your new role
Areas of responsibility
Customer Services

* To ensure the delivery of excellent customer service to all residents in our supported and older persons accommodation including a small number of shared owners and other external partners that are using the services.
* To be directly responsible for a defined patch, providing an effective housing management service to residents in our Older Persons and Supported Housing stock, managing a range of tenures. This may include Licences, Assured Shorthold, Assured and Starter Tenancies and Shared Ownership leases.

Tenancy Management

* You will work with the TMA and external referral agencies to ensure void properties are let in accordance with the organisation targets.
* You will be expected to carry out sign up interviews completing and supporting new tenants with any relevant paperwork to income maximisation, welfare benefit entitlement, money management and rent affordability.
* You will be expected to liaise with the Support Providers and professionals delivering support to ccha residents including health and wellbeing and tenancy sustainment. To ensure they are aware of issues and offering support to the resident in the event they are placing their tenancy at risk by their behaviour or failure to pay rent.

Income Management

* You will be responsible for the income collection and arrears process within a defined geographical patch and undertake the monitoring and recovery of housing debt from start through to conclusion, in line with our policies and procedures.
* To organise and undertake occasional home visits to residents in arrears or where appropriate.
* To take legal action as appropriate and in line with our policy to recover housing debt, including the serving of notices, the completion of legal paperwork and the presentation of cases in the county court before a district judge without legal representation within set timescales.

What you\'ll need to succeed
Essential

* Understanding/Experience of the housing sector.
* Excellent standard of numeracy and literacy
* Able to present information clearly, systematically, and accurately ability to use own initiative and communicate decisions.
* Good IT knowledge and skills
* Able to work within a strong team environment, covering for others when needed.
* Able to plan, organise and manage own workload.
* Excellent communication skills, to communicate effectively with customers.

Desirable

* Ability and experience in report writing.
* Experience in a similar administrative and supportive role.
