A new opportunity has arisen for a Transport Coordinator to join our client, an international Logistics company based in Essex.

Your role as the Transport Coordinator will be to book jobs in with third party hauliers, plan routes for HGV vehicles, and communicate any delays or cancellations with other departments within the company.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be liaising with the drivers throughout their shift, ensuring any changes or delays are communicated.

Other duties of the Transport Coordinator:


Recording and sending POD's as required. Liaise with third-party haulers and contractorsBook slots for the drivers to collect and shunt containers, ensuring they use VBS systemDeal with all minor vehicle repairs, reporting any defects to appropriate contractors to get repairedBook MOTs and services for the company vehicles when needed. Deal with any breakdowns, and calling them inEnsure the filing system is kept organised and up to date with all relevant transport paperwork
 

To be the successful Transport Coordinator, you will need to have strong experience working within the industry, and transport management experience.

We are looking for candidates who have excellent IT / PC literacy knowledge, especially with using Microsoft Excel and Word.

Having a Car driving license is essential.
