Our client, who specialise in Freight Forwarding through multimodal services, are currently seeking a Commercial Sales Executive for their team based in Essex, to help expand business opportunities within the air and ocean freight sector.

As the Commercial Sales Executive, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their specific logistics requirements, and providing tailored solutions that meet their needs.

You will be proactively upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the existing customer base.

Duties of the Commercial Sales Executive:


Identify potential clients within the air and ocean freight industry, including importers, exporters, manufacturers, distributors, and other relevant businesses.Build a strong pipeline by conducting market research, lead generation, cold calling, networking, and attending industry events and conferences.Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts, and other documentation as required.Liaise with the operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth and efficient execution of contracts and to address any client concerns or issues promptly.Stay up to date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
 

The successful Commercial Sales Executive will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Air and Ocean Freight, with at least 2 of those in a direct commercial or sales related role.

You need to have strong knowledge and understanding of the air and ocean freight industry, including import/export regulations, documentation requirements, and industry trends.

Experience required for the role:


Strong Logistics experience.Proficiency in using CRM software, MS Office Suite, and other sales-related tools.Excellent sales and negotiating skills
