12 month fixed contract - Housing Partnership Officer - Sittingbourne

Your new company
We have an exciting opportunity for a Partnership Officer to join a dedicated Housing Partnerships Team to provide a comprehensive housing management service to customers in designated schemes, where there is an intensive housing management charge and no agent providing housing management.

You'll be responsible for conducting void management including pre-void inspections, obtaining referrals, assessing applicant suitability, tenancy fraud checks, affordability assessments, viewings and sign ups. You'll ensure a high-quality customer focused service is always provided to achieve sustainable communities.

We have a full-time 12-month fixed term contract / secondment, based in Sittingbourne.

We offer a flexible hybrid working approach which will be agreed with line management.

Your new role
* Deliver a customer focused service which embraces our culture, current and future legislation, policy, procedure and best practice.
* Provide an effective intensive housing management service for customers with identified support needs, working with support providers, commissioners and other partners within the relevant legislation, regulation and Service Level Agreement.
* Void management including pre-void inspections, obtaining referrals, assessing applicant suitability, completing risk assessments, tenancy fraud checks, affordability assessments, viewings, sign ups, completing CORE and updating the tenancy management file.
* Investigate and respond promptly to allegations of anti-social behaviour (ASB) and monitor cases, ensuring agreed targets are met.
* Complete property safety inspections in accordance with the timescales including call point testing, fire drills and health and safety inspections.
* Attend joint liaison meetings quarterly with the Partnerships Manager and representatives of the support providers/commissioners and other partners to review the various aspects of the Service Level Agreement.
* Work with support providers and relevant agencies to manage complex cases including safeguarding, capacity issues and support concerns focussing on tenancy sustainment.
* Manage tenancy breaches using informal and formal interventions. If required, liaise with our solicitors, prepare the court papers, attend court hearings, draft the eviction report and complete the eviction process.
* Report any concerns with the support provisions to senior management and if appropriate follow the safeguarding protocol.
* Assist in meeting our compliance obligations by facilitating access in relation to repairs, gas servicing, electrical, legionella portable appliance testing (PAT) making available the appropriate documents to residents and support providers.
* Maintain a detailed knowledge of current legislation, available technology, data protection changes, regulatory framework and best practice, understanding the implications this has on service, in particular where there are specific service/financial implications.
* Embrace and promote our culture, C.O.R.E. values and behaviours, creating an environment which is supportive and a place where it's enjoyable to work.

What you'll need to succeed

* Proven experience within supported housing /temporary accommodation environment, in a capacity which involved leading teams, as well as service improvement.
* The ability to develop partnership working with other agencies to generate effective solutions to problems.
* The ability to communicate effectively and concisely, displaying good interpersonal skills in multiple modes (phone, face-to-face, emails and in writing) using customer friendly language.
* The ability to manage time & tasks effectively, work well under pressure both individually and in a team to deadlines, delegating appropriately.
* Good negotiation and influencing skills.
* A good understanding of equality and diversity.
* A full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
