Management Accountant | Maidstone/Hybrid Working | £30k - £40k + study support

You will be working for a reputable, well know business with offices based in the Maidstone area. This organisation works on a Hybrid basis (2 days in the office and 3 from home). Ideally the organisation is looking for someone ACCA, CIMA or ACA part qualified who are looking to continue with studies, but will look at AAT studiers looking to move onto the next stage.

As Management Accountant you will be responsible for the production of Management Accounts and generating financial analysis whilst following effective financial processes and procedures.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
• Produce accurate and timely monthly Management Accounts
• Monthly closure of the GL to facilitate timely and accurate reporting.
• Provide support to budget holders with variance analysis and improvement ideas.
• Completion of Balance Sheet reconciliations (including weekly Bank reconciliations).
• Control of Intrastat, quarterly VAT returns, Duty payments and liaising with HMRC.
• Complete weekly, monthly reporting for the business and ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.
• Support the Financial Controller and Finance Director with budget and forecasting process.
• Any other ad hoc duties as required by the Financial Controller.

Skills & Experience
• Part qualified with a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or AAT qualified looking to move onto the next stage
• Experienced in management accounting and analysis to tight deadlines within a pressured environment.
• Commercial / operational insights to engage with the Leadership Team and external parties.
• Ability to provide financial insights clearly to non-financial managers.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs etc
