Are you a safe pair of hands?

We are looking for someone with the skills and expertise to lead on safeguarding and quality at our established and successful charity. Working across the South East, we empower children, young people, adults and communities to develop their strengths, and overcome barriers to opportunities.

This is a great opportunity to join our Leadership Team, where you will lead on safeguarding activities, promoting best practice and ensuring that high standards are maintained. Activities include completing incident reports, taking appropriate action, liaising with outside agencies and statutory bodies and tracking outcomes. You will provide guidance and training at all levels, review policies and procedures, and communicate and embed change.

You will also have responsibility for overseeing quality activities across the organisation to ensure that Imago achieves and maintains its quality marks. This aspect of the role involves maintaining critical documents, conducting audits, managing the quality calendar and preparing for inspections and reviews in collaboration with senior colleagues, managers and delivery staff.

Applicants should have experience of developing policies and procedures, and managing safeguarding practice in a relevant setting. You should have knowledge of legislation and guidance for safeguarding children and adults at risk. Experience of working within a quality assurance framework is essential, and involvement in quality assurance activities would be advantageous.

You will need to demonstrate inspirational leadership, critical thinking and be an effective communicator with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Applicants must have experience of report writing, monitoring and evaluation at a senior level. The post is based in Tunbridge Wells with opportunities for hybrid working. Car driver essential.

Make the difference.

We offer our employees:
• Inclusive values-based environment
• Competitive remuneration package
• Workplace pension scheme
• Generous 31 days annual leave entitlement plus bank holidays
• Opportunities for hybrid working
• Benenden Health Care
• Death in Service Benefit
• Cycle to Work Scheme
• Employee Supported Volunteering scheme
• Development opportunities
• and more
