We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator for our client based in Essex, who specialise in Domestic and Commercial moves.

 

On a day-to-day basis, you will be planning collections and deliveries, using the software to ensure they take place within in the agreed times.

Having strong communication skills is a key requirement for this role, as you will be building strong working relationships with customers to understand their needs. You will also be liaising with drivers / sub-contractors to discuss any possible delays or issues regarding deliveries.

Other duties of the Logistics Coordinator:
 


Source and build strong working relationships with sub-contractors (nationwide)Ensuring fleet and drivers are being utilized correctlyMaximize sub-contractors and marginsData entryDeal with all other transport office related duties
 

The successful Logistics Coordinator will have knowledge of transport systems, good commercial understanding and experience working in a busy Transport office.

Key requirements:
 


Good knowledge of Drivers Hours, WTD legislation and TachographKnowledge of Health & SafetyGood level of educationIT literate
