SEN Teaching Assistant

Pearson Whiffin Education are working with a primary school in the east Kent area to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with a child with special educational needs.

To be considered for this role you must have relevant experience working with special educational needs children. Candidates with a background of working as a TA, LSA or Support Worker will be highly sought after. The school is located in a rural area between Ashford and Folkestone, so candidates that can drive are desired but not essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and understanding teaching assistant to work in a fantastic school with a welcoming team of colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Providing support for the child
* Monitoring and supervising activities both in and out of the classroom
* Maintain a safe and positive learning environment
* Alert staff of any emergencies that may occur
* Assist the class teacher where needed
