To meet increased demand, our client, an International freight forwarder based in Essex, is looking for a Business Development Manager for their team, where remote working is available if you are based in the UK.

 

As the Business Development Manager, you will maintain and expand relationships with clients to effectively negotiate and close opportunities. You will be ensuring customer satisfaction whilst complying with Company standards and procedures.

The successful Business Development Manager will ideally have Ocean Freight / Intermodal with EU Road Freight experience, advancing sales and business development experience, and previous experience in a similar Business Development & Sales role.

We are looking to speak with candidates who have good profit and sales understanding to ensure business case for projects are financially successful.

This role is available hybrid or remote, depending on your location.

 

Business Development Manager Duties:


Develop and maintain business relationships with managers and senior executives to promote company growthEstablishing relationships with customersProviding active and proactive information to the clientGenerate an increase in business from existing customersReceive enquiries, quotations, RFI/RFQ and engage with internal/external stakeholders
 
 

Requirements of the Business Development Manager:
 


Customer focussed and ability to understand service delivery standardsAn effective communicator both written and verbally - a confident communicator (as you’ll be liaising with senior professionals across multi-million-pound organisations)Ideally, some experience within the European Freight Forwarding industry as you may be required to answer complex industry-related questions from high-profile customers
