Our client is a specialist in Freight Forwarding, Transportation and Logistics Solutions, and due to increased global growth in the business, they are currently seeking a Customs ETFS Supervisor for their team in Basildon.

 

As the Customs ETFS Supervisor, you will assist the Head of Customs Compliance with their day-to-day duties and support the company in becoming more competitive and profitable. You will ensure all Import and Export declaration forms are completed correctly and on time.

The successful Customs ETFS Supervisor will have previous experience as a Customs E.T.S.F or in a similar role, 2 years’ experience in freight, and previous experience in a management or supervisory role.

We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience working within the Shipping industry, strong communication skills (both writing and verbal) with a dedication to excellent customer service.

 

Customs ETFS Supervisor Duties:


Maintain regular communication with sales teams reporting new sales leads and handover of shipmentsEnsure all goods are approved for delivery via accounts and/or line manager before releaseComplete all Import, Export and Cross Trade activities such as financial, legal, and invoicing transactionComplete all invoicing for imports, exports and clients and ensure insurances are charged correctlyEnsure all duties/VAT is charged accurately upon invoicingEnsure all operational activities are completed on timeImplement new efficiencies in customer workflow
 

Requirements of the Customs ETFS Supervisor:


Excellent IT skills e.g., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and systemsAble to prioritise own workload but also be able to work as part of a teamDemonstrate working administrative background
