Medway Voluntary Action are Recruiting Now for a Programmes Officer
An exciting opportunity exists for a Programmes Officer to work with an energetic team at MVA. Do you like working in a busy environment with a dynamic team of staff and volunteers? And do you like the variety of day-to-day activities that project working brings, and the feeling of achievement when the project goes well? If so, this job is for you.
We are recruiting a new Programmes Officer to join our thriving and widely respected Programmes team. If successful, you’ll be joining a team of highly motivated and successful staff to plan, deliver and evaluate a variety of innovative projects supporting not only the generation of income for MVA, but also for other organisations in the voluntary sector working in partnership with us. MVA has a track record of delivering a number of projects, large and small, making significant impact for a range of stakeholders.
MVA is an organisation that has historically provided Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) support to the myriad of local charities in Medway alongside a training offer. We have provided a seedbed for a number of small charities over the years before launching those charities to independence. We also host a volunteer network. MVA played a pivotal role during the Covid-19 Pandemic in bringing together Voluntary and Community Sector organisations to work together during this time; we have also facilitated relationship building between the VCS and the Statutory sector. We are well placed now to continue to focus on MVA’s sustainability and growth, whilst also continuing to support and work with the VCS to strengthen its capacity and resilience going forward.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual, preferably with experience of working with projects. An understanding or experience of working in the voluntary sector will be helpful.
