Strood Academy has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Student Services Manager to join us from September 2022. Our successful candidate will demonstrate strong organisational skills whilst managing a variety of tasks, will be very personable and approachable, and will have the ability to build good working relationships with our students. On a daily basis you'll be in contact with students, various members of staff, parents and external agencies - this is a busy and fast-paced role so we'd love to hear from candidates who are keen to be part of our collaborative and supportive environment. It is essential that our successful candidate has previous pastoral experience.

A background in positive behaviour management, experience of using restorative justice practice and an understanding of external agencies and the local authority fair access panel would be desirable but not essential. We are also looking for individuals that have knowledge and understanding of working with disadvantaged pupils.

This is a permanent position offering a salary ranging between £17,089 - £22,203 per annum (£20,043 - £25,927 full time equivalent) commensurate with experience and based on 37 hours per week, Term Time and 1 additional week of inset.

Centralised behaviour system and detentions - simple for teachers to follow allowing disruptive free classrooms.
Our commitment to the development of all staff - CPD on Wednesday afternoons and the opportunity to collaborate with staff from other schools in the LAT. Also all staff at Strood receive regular coaching feedback through our on-line platform on-track.
Strood academy is easily accessible by A2 and the high speed train can allow for travel into London in less than 30 minutes.
We have a common sense approach to workload. All teachers are expected to feedback or live mark. We also work closely as a Trust allowing for centralised resources to be shared across our secondary schools.
