You will be part of our Aspirations team, using arts, sports and training opportunities to support people with poor mental health who are unemployed and geographically or socially isolated. You’ll be based in the community and will work with our partner organisations to identify people who could benefit from our support.
You will support people by helping them to identify goals and develop the tools (including emotional resilience and practical skills) to achieve them. This could include giving them support to regain confidence and take part in community events, try volunteering opportunities or even gain employment.
Our Aspirations service is a Building Better Opportunities (BBO) project funded by the European Social Fund and the Lottery Community Fund.
The role requires:
Good communication and people skills
Experience of helping people feel confident to take part in projects, events and activities
Experience of working with people who experience poor mental health
Experience of working collaboratively with other organisations
A full driving licence and access to a car (subject to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and Equality Act 2010).
Working Pattern: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility required.
Contract: Fixed Term until June 2023.
