Bulk Meter Services Limited (BMS Ltd) is a liquid management & service company with over 100 years of combined expertise, specializing in liquid measurement. We provide a complete range of mechanical and CompEx electrical services, asset management, civil engineering, tank, and fuel services to support the Defence Sector.

Our work includes Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), ad-hoc and reactive servicing & repairs, installation works and project management, using our team of dedicated nationwide specialist technicians who all hold the necessary site permit passes and security clearances. All works carried out to the current MOD regulations (JSP317, JSP375 as well as DMG14-PG06/12, PG04/12, PG05/12). BMS Ltd have vast experience of accurately calibrating all brands of Flow Meters.

Development Opportunity
As a Field Service Technician, you will be required to carry out CompEX Mechanical inspections, planned preventative maintenance tasks and remedial works as required and directed by your team manager or have planned yourself. You will be responsible for managing your day-to-day work loads. requiring you to complete required reports and certificates for the tasks carried out. You will need to demonstrate a willingness to travel to client sites which may involve travel to London daily.
The scope of our client and customer work requires you to have a clean driving licence and no criminal record. We will need to successfully apply for SC, CTC, DBS clearance for you access to customer sites.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has just completed an engineering qualification. We expect you to undertake professional development training to enhance both technical and personal skills. If you are self-motivated to work as an individual, can work successfully as part of a team, have good communication skills and the capability to problem solve, this position should interest you. Full training will be provided, including but not limited to Confined Space with Rescue, First Aid, Fire Awareness, Working at Height, Oftec 600A.

Qualifications and experience requirements
Ideally suitable candidates will have just completed a recognised Apprenticeship or qualified in an engineering discipline.

Knowledge
• N.V.Q Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Installation - desirable
• Mechanical Engineering Modern Apprenticeship - desirable
• C&G Mechanical Engineering or equivalent - this or any one of above desirable
• Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Mechanical Engineering - Optional
• CompEx 11 Mechanical in Hazardous Areas – Optional
• Commercial electrical installation and testing qualifications NVQ Level 3 or industry equivalent) - Desirable
• Double & Single skin Pipework fitting, valves, tank Gauging knowledge - desirable
• OFTEC 600A – Tank installation and Maintenance – desirable
• Confined space – Desirable
• Working at Height – Desirable
Skills
• IT skills completing online certification and work sheets.
• Excellent organisation skills.
• Excellent customer facing / communication skills
• Commercially astute to recognise business opportunities when they arise.
• Working as part of a team or on your own.

Hours of work
Mon to Friday – 0600 to 1800

Salary & Benefits
Based on qualifications and relevant experience up to 34K -Plus overtime
Contributory Pension Scheme
33 Days holiday including Bank holidays
