Do you work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail that would enable you to apply a critical eye to print work?

We are seeking a conscientious individual with a strong customer focus to join the Design and Print team as a Print Technician on a full time and ongoing basis.

In this role you will provide high quality, customer focussed print services to staff, students and external clients directly via the shop, in person, by email and by telephone.

As Print Technician you will:

operate and maintain the printing and finishing equipment and software to produce customer products to specific standards. This will include monochrome and colour printing, copying, collating, binding, laminating and the production of branded goods
record time and materials and production details, for job tracking and charging (invoicing) purposes and ensure all errors are logged using the non-conformance process
operate the till, accept payments by cash, credit and debit card in the Design and Print Centre shop
remain professional and tackle problems quickly and methodically, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
To be successful in this role you will have:

GCSE English or Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent qualification), and/or skills gained through relevant work experience
Good IT skills particularly in Microsoft packages
A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to apply this to print work
Good organisational skills including able to prioritise effectively and manage competing demands
relevant experience in delivering in-house printing and finishing services (desirable).
