We’re looking for someone to lead our small HR team and ensure that Porchlight’s workforce continues to make a difference to people’s lives. You will be responsible for managing an HR administrator and will also support the work of Porchlight’s HR director.
Because the team is a small one, you will need to be hands-on and share in the day-to-day workload. This will involve developing processes to ensure Porchlight is a good place to work (including staff development opportunities and our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion); advising line managers if they face any staff-related issues and managing employee relations; overseeing recruitment; leading change management and TUPE processes; managing the company HR software; and providing monthly payroll data.
This role requires:
A strong understanding of HR practices, employment legislation and case law
Strong management and communication skills
Strategic skills (including the ability to align and develop Porchlight’s HR services to support the charity’s ambitions and plans)
Experience of working in a multi-faceted role that involves managing conflicting priorities
A CIPD qualification
Contract: Fixed term maternity cover until September 2023
Working pattern: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with flexibility required.
Advertiser: Direct Employer
