Cedar House provides expert, person-centred assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for adults with a mild-to-moderate learning disability or autism, and associated mental health or behavioural support needs. The purpose-built site accommodates five separate bungalows, providing the ability to support patients in smaller environments and improve patient compatibility. This is particularly important for patients with sensory impairments or sensory processing difficulties who require a low stimulus environment.
Cedar House also has a five-bed pre-discharge house which enables our multi-disciplinary teams to assess and consolidate patient skills and risk assess, within an environment that replicates community living, prior to discharge. We are committed to ensuring that our patients have the best possible chance of success when they are discharged. Our experienced multi-disciplinary teams work collaboratively to develop individualised care, treatment plans and positive behaviour support plans. These are designed to maximise recovery and independence and reduce episodes of challenging or offending behaviour.
