We are currently recruiting for a fantastic global financial services organisation based in Chatham that are seeking to employ an experienced Senior Settlements Coordinator to become apart of the strategy plan and vision for the coming years.

Points to reference:

Good knowledge of the settlement process, deadlines and authorisation for all Markets is essential. We would see this person as a go to for any settlement queries and be able to offer support & a solution.

The Senior settlement coordinator would need to have good knowledge of the settlement process, deadlines and authorisation for all Markets as this is essential for the role. You will be the go to person for any settlement queries and be able to offer support & solutions.

The role would be based in Medway and it is essential that the ideal person is able to commit to 3 days a week within the office.

FACTA/UTM account opening as well as full settlement knowledge is equally essential for the role.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow and develop within the financial sector.

Duties will include:

You will oversee day to day activities of the teams delivering a range of services required by members, third party capital providers, as well as the bank and regulators.

o Receive, validate and process the settlement of Unit Trusts, UK Equities, UK & US Treasury, and International Trades within specified international market deadlines.
o Responsible for administering all associated tasks in order to open a Unit Trust Account (including FATCA/CRS monitoring)
o Liaising with Investment Managers, Fund Managers and members to ensure timely completion for investment into new Fund.
o Demonstrate full understanding of procedures and controls, identifying risks and discrepancies updating and communicating any changes with the ability to assist internal and external stakeholders with resolution to queries and enquires.
o Manage own workflow and review and redeploy staffing resources in manager's absence to ensure internal & external deadlines are met and risks managed effectively
o Train/Coach/Mentor staff at various levels of experience
o Approve and authorise payments and trades including deletion of erroneous transactions
o Assist manager in the production of monthly management statistics and ad hoc analysis
o Responsible for reporting all outstanding exceptions to the Manager.
o To ensure Compliance with Bank Trustee obligations, Financial crime and anti-money laundering legislation and international market rules for settlement.
o Authority for the requisition and process of payments under the delegation of powers from the Chief Finance Officer.

Skills and Knowledge:
* Ability to react to continual changes in market conditions and policies
* Proven ability to build and maintain key stakeholder relationships
* Ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads effectively
* Influencing & negotiating skills
* Ability to support a culture of continuous process improvement
* Review & evaluation skills
* Knowledge of Financial markets and the UK and Global settlements processes
* Knowledge and understanding of the processes, controls and procedures relevant to the Settlement Services Team
