Our client is an international logistics company, specialised in international, 3rd-party and freight forwarding business, and they are currently looking for a Sea Freight Import & Export Clerk to join their team in Chelmsford, Essex.

As the Sea Freight Clerk, you will be working on a very busy operations desk, and have a minimum of one years’ experience in a similar role.

 

Duties of the Sea Freight Export Clerk:


Communication with clients, shipping lines and overseas offices/agentsHandling Sea Freight consignments for Exports & ImportsHigh volumes of data entry on in-house IT systemsArranging FCL/LCL loading plans/manifests/bookings & customs processesRaising & passing invoicesDealing with warehouse operatives
 

Skills & Qualifications required for the Sea Freight Clerk:

 


Minimum of two years’ Sea freight experienceAttention to detailGood working knowledge of Microsoft ExcelMust be able to prioritise and organise own workloadMust be a team playerHave commercial awarenessMust be flexible with their working hours
