Head of Operations
Based in East Kent
37.5 hours per week- Mon- Fri
Reporting directly into the CEO
I am currently recruiting for a Head of Operations to join a leading charity based in East Kent. This is a senior leadership position responsible for ensuring the legal, governance and financial processes of the business are robust, well managed and in line with best practices.
This role is key in supporting the CEO to ensure the charity meets its legal obligations and to optimise operational efficiency, by ensuring processes are effective.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Services, Finance Team and the Fundraising Manager and will provide leadership of the following areas as Health & Safety, Premises, HR, Policies & Procedures, Administration, Quality Assurance, Information and Data Management systems, along with Risk Management.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
.Responsible for leading and managing the operational aspects of the charity, ensuring that the charity complies with its legal obligations.
.Lead and Line manage the operational team, ensuring they are motivated, developed and trained. This involves recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
.Work collaboratively with other members of the leadership team on delivering strategic and organisation-wide objectives.
.Prepare a range of management reports for the CEO and Board, as required.
.Contribute to and support the strategic planning and implementation of the business plans.
.Attend Board and committee meetings as required, reporting on operational and governance requirements.
.Ensure the charity's finance, governance and legal processes are robust, well managed and in line with best practices.
The ideal candidate will have experience within a similar role in a non-profit organisation and have exposure to managing finance, HR and admin functions as well.
You will ideally possess a leadership or management qualification.
If you possess an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification, Project Management qualification or financial qualification, this would be desirable too, but not necessarily essential.
