Barker Munro recruitment is assisting an expanding insurer to recruit for Motor Underwriting assistant.
The role is working in the Technical Validation Team to triage incoming Motor referrals to ensure that only required cases are sent on to the insurer and that all the information has been obtained correctly. Also manage the Insurer responses and action the claim appropriately to minimise the impact to the Customers Journey.
Using your Customer service skills you will assess each referral before deciding if it needs escalation to the Insurer and will identify any vulnerable customers and liaise with the Underwriters to ensure a speedy response. You will ensure that all incoming Underwriting queries/emails are added to the correct file and contain all the information needed.
You will be trained to be able to identify any potential fraud triggers and pass on to the underwriters to enable them to fully investigate the referral.
To be considered for this role, you do not need previous insurance experience but need good spoken and written communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail and show empathy and understanding.
