Working on a Social Housing Repairs and Maintenance contract with a Property services company who provide asset management for Housing associations and local authorities. The service they provide includes responsive repairs, void refurbishments, compliancy services and planned maintenance works.

Your New Role

Working to deliver highest quality service to carry out a variety of technical services tasks. Working efficiently and safety in line with best practise to achieve an excellent customer experience.

Role Responsibilities:


* Carry out basic repairs and installation of window and door ironmongery, stair nosing's, benches, planters, decking, bike racks, fencing, erecting blinds, curtains and shelves.
* Able to hang an internal or external door and install ironmongery.
* Replace ceiling tiles and a variety of light bulbs.
* Preparation work for internal and external decorating and decorating a variety of surfaces including timber, metal and masonry both internally and externally.
* Replace and install a variety of signage internally and externally.
* Unblock a variety of gully's, grates and drains.
* Paving slab replacement and basic brickwork.
* Ability to make safe a variety of areas to prevent accidents.
* Ability to block a variety of holes to help proof against rodents.
* Must have the ability to work at height, off scaffolding if needed and short durations on a variety of different length ladders.
* Must be confident to identify potential asbestos hazards prior to commencement of any works.
* Ensure that all tools and equipment are readily available at the beginning of each shift so that workers can begin their work on time.
* Arrange for materials such as bricks, mortar, and cement to be available at assigned worksites.
* Load and unload materials to and from delivery trucks, ensuring that they are safely moved to storage sites.
* Maintain plants, landscape, and gardens.


What you will need to succeed


* Full or Automatic UK driving license held for minimum 12 months
* Previous experience as a general Labourer is preferred.
* Ability to use small hand tools
* Ability to operate small hand-held plant such as drills and breakers
* Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
* Must be able to work within a team environment
* Basic construction skills would be advantageous
