Lofty Ladders is looking for a full-time member of staff to join the Lofty team.
Lofty Ladders is a small business looking to expand its workforce. We are a family run company and a conscientious employer. We believe strongly in treating our staff well but with an expectation that they, in return, will be reliable and dependable. We are looking for someone who can help us expand by working smart, being responsible and showing leadership qualities. The right candidate will ultimately be offered a senior position in the company.
The position will involve installation of loft ladders, alteration of loft hatches, loft boarding and insulation. Applicants must be confident and competent with both hand and power tools. Basic carpentry, marking out and measuring skills are required. Due to the nature of the work, a degree of physical fitness and strength is required. A full clean driving licence is essential as the work takes place all over Kent. Suitable candidates will be required to do a paid work trial. During your training period you will normally be finished by 15:00. Once you are fully trained you will be expected to work 08:00 until all of your alloted jobs are complete.
All applicants will be expected to complete a one day paid work trial.
We are looking for someone to take over the labour in the company to free time for the owner to focus on expansion. If you complete your 3-month training / probationary period successfully you will be given a van and a labourer. Honesty, reliability, and dependability are crucial as this will be key to the increasing success of the company.
The probationary period will be paid at an hourly rate of £10 per hour for the hours worked (normally 08:15 to 15:00). Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the salary will be increased to £30,000 per annum.
