This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small team supporting the market research and insight function at Canterbury Christ Church University.

The Market Research Team sits within the Department for Marketing and Communications and provides a wide range of support for student recruitment and understanding and enhancing the student experience ensuring the University is delivering a top-class student recruitment experience.

You will be supporting the Head of Market Insight and Market Research Assistant in the delivery and analysis of surveys such as the University’s Open Days and events, website performance and student communications.



The team also work closely with the University’s academic faculties and schools supporting portfolio design, identifying new opportunities, and providing market context reports to support course portfolio decision-making. A large part of your role will be using datasets and pivot tables, the ability to manipulate, statistically analyse and visually represent large, complex datasets, particularly through Microsoft Excel is fundamental to the success of the role.



We would like you to have excellent communication skills as you will be involved in project discussions and input your opinions about data outcomes. Collaborative working is also a key requirement of the role. You will be supported by the Head of market Research who you will work closely alongside.



You will be educated to first degree level or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study or equivalent experience in industry and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge of data analysis methods and techniques. You will have GCSE Maths or equivalent grades A/B and/or A ‘level Maths/statistics grade A-C or equivalent. you must be able to demonstrate a keen eye for data accuracy and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, data base analysis and data visualisation. Ideally, you will have experience in writing research finding, business related documents, reports and demonstrate an interest and understanding in marketing and market research techniques.



Additional Information

This is a part time role of 18.5 hours per week, working days and times as mutually agreed with the candidate.
