My client is a small established firm of accountants based in Maidstone. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a rounded role and they are looking for someone with a good working knowledge of the computerised bookkeeping packages.
You will work closely with the clients, taking responsibility for supporting the client base in the preparation of their accounts, payroll, credit control, and tax returns. You will provide bookkeeping services, prepare VAT returns, support the general accounts and tax teams where required, and work as part of a small but professional team.
The role includes:
- Bookkeeping using Sage Line 50 and Xero
- Accounts preparation
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Providing support on payroll and other compliance issues
- Working with the Tax team and providing support where appropriate.
Additional Information:
This role would be ideal for an experienced bookkeeper who has previously worked within a firm of accountants. You must have strong communication skills and have attention to detail, and a proactive approach, and be happy to work as a part of a team and engage with clients. AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
This is an office-based role.
