Our client, an instantly recognisable business on the South Coast, is now looking for a Financial Accountant to join their busy team.

You will be responsible for the monitoring of all operational costs incurred by the business and its subsidiaries.  A hands on role, the right candidate will be expected to recommend and action opportunities for reducing the cost profile of the business with due regard to customer expectations and agreed levels of service.

About the role:

You will be involved with the annual budget process and monthly forecasting and have the ability to strongly challenge budget holders about their spend and forecasts and make decisions that may be unpopular.

The post holder will ensure the timely delivery of all reports necessary for the completion of the monthly management accounts and the statutory accounts. You will need to be able to confidently present your analyses to the relevant audience across the organisation.

Key Requirements:

Qualified or Actively Studying Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

Minimum of 3 years` experience of working within a finance environment

Have an excellent commercial sense, with the ability to analyse information from different sources, and make informed business decisions.

Highly organised, analytical, logical and numerical, with the ability to work without supervision at times

Experience of and competent in computerised office systems including Microsoft Office products

Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail
