ASSISTANT HEAD OF CARE – 41 WEEKS

£43,884 - £47,029 per annum (including Duty Manager Allowance)

Permanent position

41 hours per week, 41 weeks per year

Bradstow is a creative and unique residential school for children between the ages of 5 & 19. It is situated in 13 acres of parkland in Broadstairs. We seek to meet the needs of children and young people with autism and severe learning difficulties with associated behaviours that may be challenging. We have achieved national recognition for our developments in Communication and Behaviour Management. We have been awarded the Gold standard for the Investors in People accreditation and can offer a vibrant, life-long career.

The successful candidate will support the Head of Residential Services in leading and supervising the Childcare provision of the School. You will assist in the recruitment, induction and training of care staff, ensure the Childcare team supports and enhances the work of the Education team, and act as a member of the Senior Management Team.

As part of the 41 weeks, you will oversee the organisation and delivery of Short Term Break provision at the school. This includes 10 shifts on site during the Short Term break.

The hours for this post include shift and weekend work, and flexibility is required.

For all posts we look for candidates who are mature, warm, creative and open to learning with a patient and caring attitude to deal sensitively with vulnerable children.
