Position: Workshop Operative

The Company:
This friendly family run business with a 20 year history, and a leading company, who provide a specialise bespoke design manufacturing service for a strong and growing client base throughout the UK. Experiencing their busiest year, they are now seeking to add to their workshop team, and are seeking a Workshop Operative.
As a Workshop Operative, this is a ‘hands on‘ role and you must have experience using a number of different hand tools - example power tools, machinery, and measuring tools
Main duties
• Support our main staff doing assembly tasks for display products
• Use hand tools, power tools and some basic machinery for which training is given.
• Will involve packing/palletising tasks.
• Sometimes working as a team of two, sometimes independently.
• Some basic DIY skills would be handy but not essential.
• Needs to be physically fit as the work involves standing all day and moving some pallets around etc.
If you have basic machining experience this would be advantageous
Hours of work
• Monday to Friday only.
• 8.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m. (with a 15 min break at 10.00 a.m. and ½ hour lunch from 12.30p.m. – 1.00 p.m.)
In return you will receive:
• A relevant minimum wage (DOE)
This company is located in a business unit on a farm so own transport to site is advisable
