The International team have a vacancy for a full time Business Development Specialist covering a 12-month maternity leave. Reporting to April Golding-Brodie, this role is responsible for all aspects of international research, identifying opportunities for business growth and optimising business strategies.
The key accountabilities and responsibilities for the role include:
• Market research to potential international target markets, customers and projects
• Developing and establishing your own contacts and networks with industry specialists
• Identifying new customers and expanding business opportunities towards sustained growth
• Maintaining valued customer relationships and negotiating deals
• Develop new leads and seek opportunities with new product lines
• Follow up potential leads to drive new business through inbound lead follow up and outbound cold calls
• Maintain and expand the database of prospects
The successful candidate will require:
• Existing knowledge of Salesforce.com or similar CRM preferred
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Able to demonstrate good commercial awareness
• Ability to speak other languages would be ideal
• Strong telephone presence
• Ability to set goals and develop plans for business and revenue growth
• Self-motivated and driven but also able to work as part of a team
• Goal orientated and passionate about achieving results
