My client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join its friendly team.

Role purpose:

To work closely with the sales team to ensure that all hospitality events are invoiced and payments received
To maintain reconciliations and accuracy in all banking transactions
To provide support for Accountant

Responsibilities include:

Liaising with the sales team to ensure confirmed contracts are invoiced
Invoicing and recording deposits & stage payments for function events
Monitoring and invoicing any financial additions to events and ensuring all monies are settled in full prior to events
Ensuring final invoices are raised following the function and appropriate re-charges are made
Ensuring post event debts are settled within 14 days
Producing and distributing weekly sales reports
Producing and distribute weekly and monthly accommodation sales reports
Bank reconciliation
Ensuring all payments received are banked in a timely fashion
Ensuring intercompany accounts balance and investigating any discrepancies
Posting payments and receipts into the cash book
Month end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Maintaining eshop records and ensurung payments are allocated correctly
Assisting with sales ledger invoicing
Assisting with ad hoc accounts projects and day-to-day accounts administration

Skills and Experience:

Studying AAT or AAT qualfied or qualified by experience
Experience of working in an accounts role
Accurate invoicing and debtor balance management
Accurate record keeping
Adherence to deadlines
A self-starter with initiative
A person who is seeking a challenge and an opportunity to flourish in a role which requires a ownership and accountability
A positive, can-do attitude
A proven track record of reliability and excellent communication skills
Detail orientated, methodical and have a high attention to detail
