We are working with a well-established family run freight forwarder and perishable cargo specialist as they open a brand new facility near Hythe and are looking to recruit two Distribution Clerks.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business with real career growth, this role will involve shift 4 on 4 off including days (0800-2000) and nights (20.00-08.00). The role will involve liaison with customers, logistics departments and warehouse team. In this role you will be responsible for accepting orders, organising and distributing goods and providing administrative support.

About the role

* Complete and manage the necessary documentation and forms for the movement of freight in/out of the warehouse.
* Manage and liaise with stock control and warehousing, managing clients orders and informing them via email and telephone of all current stock levels
* Processing customer orders using the in-house system (full training will be given) printing of delivery notes and tickets.

About you

* Excellent customer service skills, this role will involve a lot of client liaison so you must have previous experience of dealing with customers via telephone or email
* IT Proficient able to use MS Package (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate records are maintained
* Strong numerical skills
* Able to work to time scales in a busy environment
* Ideally applicants will come from a warehouse/distribution background
