We are currently recruiting for an Injection Molding Setter, for an award winning manufacturer of plastic products based in North Kent
This position will be suited to a conscientious and reliable individual who has a flexible approach to work duties and a right first time every time attitude. In addition, a good proactive approach to Health & Safety and quality is essential.

We are a multinational operation supplying goods to building and plumbing suppliers across the country, this position is very fast paced but extremely rewarding.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic with a positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team.
we operate a 3 shift system after a period of training, while training the hours of work will be 0800 to 1700 Monday to Friday

Day to day duties for the role will include but are not limited to

• Ensure that all tool changes and other Maintenance work carried out on the injection moulding Machine is done safely and within health
and safety guidelines.

• Ensure that the cavities in the tools are sprayed with mould protection before removing the tool from the press for a tool insert/change.

• Be responsible for all aspects of process control setting, to achieve the quality standard required for products produced in the
injection moulding department.

• Work closely with the production manager to reduce machine downtime within the guidelines outlined by SMED.

• Ensure that “Process Setting” sheets are used to set each new job.

• Carry out regular checks on each machine operating.

• Ensure that the injection moulding machines and the surrounding area is maintained, and is clean and clear at all times especially
after tool changing.

• Ensure the machines are restarted after every tool insert/change.

• Work with senior supervisors /process engineer and QC’s, to process and monitor to ensure that the required quality standards are
maintained

• Ensure any machine faults “Electrical or Mechanical” are reported to the production manager.

• Work closely with Directors and Manager to progress improvements

• To comply with all requests from your manager, to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

You will need to ensure that you are helping to produce a good quality product whilst maximizing productivity and maintaining a safe environment

Key requirements for this role

• Previous PVC experience is desirable but not essential
• Good team working ethic and skills
• Reliability
• Flexible and willing to do whatever is needed
• Take responsibility to ensure the job gets done
