Your Mission
As the customer service technician you are responsible for fixing any machine or equipment that might have become problematic, for the customer. This can be done over the phone, through the company’s ticket support system or physically in the repairs/service laboratory within the office. You will be expected to troubleshoot problems in order to do all you can to remedy the situation without the device having to be sent back whilst creating a rapport with the customer.
Role and Responsibilities
You may work be asked to interface with customers at various levels, from head office to the front end of the business, and in most cases will be:
• Provides Level 2 support
• Answering telephone enquiries from the first line support team members
• Maintaining technical knowledge
• Evaluating information
• Promoting the business
• Carrying out service and/or repair work
• Updating service tickets
• Servicing equipment
• Assisting customers by providing remote technical support and service training
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Although this area of work is open to all graduates and/or relevant experience, the following GCSE, HND or A-Level subjects are preferable and experience of working in a medical devices environment:
• Engineering
• Electronics
• Computer science
Preferred Skills
You'll need to show:
• Being systematic and accurate
• Self-motivation
• Oral and written communication
• Good listening skills
• Planning and organising
• Being detail oriented and observant
• Logical thinking
• Understanding numeric data
• Information technology
• Managing work relationships
• Being professional and respectful
• Team oriented
In addition employees may be required to undertake other duties as may reasonably be required of them. In these circumstances training will be given where it is considered.
