I'm actively recruiting on behalf of a Kent based client who are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a Permanent basis.
The ideal candidate would be a Quantity Surveyor with a Contractor background and previous experience working on Fit Outs (commercial, healthcare, residential, retail etc). This is not essential however, and they could consider an experienced QS from any project background.
The ideal candidate will:
* Have 5y experience working as a Quantity Surveyor (ideally with experience on Fit Out projects but this isn't essential)
* Have a relevant qualification
* Come from a Contractor background (ideally)
* Strive to be the best in their field
* Pay excellent attention to detail
* Be able to demonstrate analytical thinking skills
* Have the ability to use your initiative.
Your general day to day duties will include:
* Estimating costs, quantities, and project timelines
* Providing all information to clients
* Preparing tender and contract documents
* Identifying and weighing up commercial risks
* Liaising with a variety of other teams and helping to keep a project on track.
* Ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards
