Your new company
A Main contractor specialising in commercial refurbishment work across the South East, with multiple live sites and several recent contract awards they now seek an experienced site manager to oversee an ongoing School refurbishment scheme in the Tonbridge area. Project is valued at £5mill and runs across multiple areas of an old school complex and involves varying degrees of refurbishment from basic decorating through to full cut and carve areas, There are also several small extensions to complete on the building. This is an immediate requirement and expected to last a minimum of 6 months but with more works to be awarded could be much longer.

Your new role
As site manager you will be number 1 on site reporting to a visiting Contracts manager, you will oversee a mix of direct trades and longstanding subcontractors. You will be responsible for sub contract management, health & safety, sequencing of works, Quality control, monitoring and reporting progress for payment etc. You will be 1 of 2 managers on site.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced site manager with a background in commercial refurbishment works, school or educational experience would be ideal but not essential. You will be happy working freelance in the West Kent area on ongoing basis and have valid first aid, cscs and SMSTS qualifications
