Do you want to make a real difference using your persuasive communication skills in an exciting and challenging Christian aviation environment? Our modern culture has never been more connected, but the fact is that many people in the developing world continue to be isolated from the physical and spiritual help they so desperately need.

For remote communities impoverished by formidable physical barriers, the service MAF provides with their fleet of light aircraft is invaluable. We enable patients, relief workers, produce, medical supplies and Christian workers to be safely transported over mountains, forests, rivers, deserts and impassable roads, bringing transformational help and hope to places where flying is not a luxury – it is a lifeline.

Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is a not-for-profit Christian mission organisation who fly over 130 light aircraft in developing countries to transform the lives of the world's most isolated people in need.

Responsibilities:

As we begin to implement our new organisational strategy, we want to grow our income to meet the increasing demand for our services worldwide. As a result, we are seeking a Fundraising Executive to establish and steward relationships with small trusts (annual gifts of less than £10,000) and support one of the team’s Relationship Managers to develop and maintain the portfolio of small businesses who partner with the organisation.

Key responsibilities are to deliver income targets for an agreed portfolio of small businesses and trusts. Your role will be to actively develop and manage the portfolio including writing proposals, undertaking research, networking, and building relationships with individuals and trusts.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

The person we are looking for will need to become knowledgeable about the work we undertake, have persuasive communication skills, work to agreed targets and be a team player.

Educated to degree level along with experience in fundraising, research and report writing along with some portfolio management would be an advantage.

There is an occupational requirement for the job holder of this position to be a committed Christian. Additional information is available on request.

Terms & Conditions:

Salary £30,500 per annum
Full time (36 hours per week)
Non-contributory pension scheme for staff of 10% salary on joining
