If someone has struggled with their mental health, they can feel cut off from others and excluded from the workplace. IPS (Individual Placement & Support) services help people to re-enter the workforce by focusing on their individual goals and preferences and supporting them on their employment journey. They also engage with employers to help them better understand and be accepting of people with mental health needs and to ensure successful outcomes.
You will lead our IPS employment services which help people to regain their confidence, find and sustain employment. This will involve managing a small team of IPS specialist employment advisers working across Kent, as well as managing a caseload of clients.
You will have experience of working in an employment service and be confident in managing and motivating others. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work well with a wide range of individuals including clients, employers, and staff from statutory and voluntary organisations.
The role requires:
-Good communication and leadership skills.
-Experience of working in partnership with other organisations.
-Experience of developing employer relationships.
-Knowledge of employability services and the benefits systems
-A full driving licence and access to a car (subject to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and Equality Act 2010).
Interview date: TBC
Contract: Fixed term until end of March 2023
Working Pattern: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility required
