Business Analyst x 2
Maidstone (Remote)
£50,000 - £70,000
Barker Munro are delighted to be working with this highly successful and growth oriented insurance organisation who are looking to add 2 Business Analyst (s) to their team in Maidstone although the role will be largely remote.
Working within the Agile delivery team you will help to deliver the detailed business requirements for the in-house underwriting platform and also work with the Business to successfully integrate both technology and business processes.
Responsibilities of the Business Analyst:
• Deliver business requirements for the Business within the context of :
o Understanding of the strategic direction of the Business
o The product and platform roadmap
o FCA and London Market regulations and direction
o Technical and process knowledge of existing Systems
o Detailed knowledge of Business processes and challenges
o Market and competition awareness
o Return on Equity and Investment
o Resource, budget and delivery challenges
• Creates feasibilities that can be used by the Business to make an informed decision on whether the IT work will benefit the business and therefore should be progressed
• Work with the Business to translate business requirements & service excellence needs into formal, structured IT requests
• Leverage existing projects, systems, and capabilities as appropriate, to maximise benefit to the Business
• Establish two-way communication channels between the Business and IT in order to maximize opportunities to develop common understanding of the key drivers of both
• Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
Requirements of the Business Analyst:
• Able to handle and process large amounts of data
• Able to quickly identify potential problems and seek advice when required
• Able to quickly grasp and interpret salient information
• Broad understanding of the insurance business, including general management, functional areas
• Strong understanding of use of insurance technology to support business and create and execute strategy
• Strong people management skills: use of communicating, negotiating, direct/indirect influencing strategies and techniques
• Detailed technical insurance knowledge
• Detailed knowledge of Insurance Business process
